What this site collects
Vercel Web Analytics records aggregated page-view information such as the visited URL, referrer, approximate location, browser, and device type. Vercel identifies a visit using a request-derived hash and discards the visitor session after 24 hours. It does not use third-party analytics cookies.
Article read counts
Each article keeps an aggregate read count. To avoid counting repeated refreshes, the server creates a one-way daily fingerprint from request information. Raw IP addresses are not written to the read-count database, and the temporary fingerprint expires within 48 hours.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, your email address and optional first name are sent to Kit, the newsletter provider. Kit processes that information to confirm and manage your subscription and deliver emails. Subscription requires an explicit confirmation email, and every newsletter provides an unsubscribe option.
Cookies and browser storage
This site does not use advertising cookies. Local storage remembers your light or dark theme and whether you dismissed the privacy notice. These values stay in your browser and are not used to follow you across websites.
Your choice
You can block or clear browser storage in your browser settings. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. For a data-access or deletion request concerning the newsletter, contact me through LinkedIn.
